Ramp, Bankseat, Brow and Pontoon

Designed and Built by KellyNorman Mav and Mayhew Callum for RNLI Sheerness under Main contractor Mackley Construction Ltd. The Pontoon was built to facilitate the new life boat station at Sheerness Kent. The pontoon is of tubular design and decked with Fibre glass grating, it has accommodation for services and has a perimeter fender face and two elevated fender faces to accomodate for the freeboard of the Lifeboats.
This style of Pontoon is commonly found in most RNLI Lifeboat locations all around the country and has a final weight of around 35 Tonne with pre - ballast.
The Geometry of the Pontoon - 22m (L) x 3m (W) x 2.5m (D)
The protective system is Black Glass flake and all post installed steel work to be hot dip Galvanised.
